Morning Routine

Start the day with intention, first of all. Wake up like you meant to do so.

Have a glass of water, hopefully you can get a higher pH water source to combat the acid levels in your body from the recovery work overnight. Make sure it is at least 16oz of water. I typically move to my first concoction of Isagenix Greens (phytonutrients), Apple Cider Vinegar water for a good boost of alkalinity and to supplement digestion right awayImage result for isagenix greens

The gym is usually slated for 5AM. Therefore, my pre-workout supplementation gets started right after the water, greens, etc. I like to use NOX. A Nitric-oxide supplement from Isagenix that help with blood flow and supports the movement of oxygen to your muscles. This is especially useful during a workout involving any type of weighted exercises. I will sometimes get this supplement in my system before bed, due to the early rise, but it is recommended to get it in around 2 hours prior to your activity. I don’t plan to get out of bed at 3AM every day so I take it as soon as I can. 

I get in some carbs and a little protein before the workout too, about 15-30 minutes before, along with my pre-workout supplement – Nitro. The current carb supplement is a product called Karbolyn by EFX Nutrition. Image result for karbolyn

So far so good. (I’ll have a separate post for each supplement in the future) The amount of carb/protein that you’ll need will depend on the workout, your goals, and the timing of the workout in relation to your day and your calorie intake so far. Nitro is another product from Isagenix and it has far exceeded my previous pre-workout supplements. It has great taste, the serving size is right and the energy and pump you receive are unmatched.

The key to starting your day right, in my belief, is to begin with a planned intention. If you have a solid routine, one that works for YOU, stick with it and keep the intention of fulfilling it every day. There is nothing wrong with being a creature of habit especially if it is making you better.

As always — Water, Water, Water. I try to get at least a gallon of water down each day and it really helps when I get about a half gallon down before I head to work. More on that later as well.
